IFS chosen as Jotun’s global IT partner
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that the Jotun Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of paint, coatings, and powder coatings, has expanded its agreement with IFS globally: IFS Applications will be implemented in 64 companies with 40 production facilities worldwide. The agreement, signed in September, includes software, maintenance, support and consulting services, and has an estimated value of SKr 100 million over five years.
The Jotun Group has been an IFS customer in Scandinavia since 2003 and has implemented IFS Applications components for financials, manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance. Now Jotun is expanding the solution to the group’s 64 companies with 40 production facilities. In addition, Jotun plans to expand its operations into new countries and increase capacities in existing production facilities over the coming five-year period, which means that the use of IFS Applications will increase further.
After implementing IFS Applications in the Scandinavian part of the group, Jotun has standardized business processes and obtained better control, efficiency, and cooperation in this area.
“IFS Applications has supported our growth according to plan and we can see cost reductions,” said Morten Fon, CEO at Jotun.
IFS Applications will also play a role in fulfilling Jotun’s future business objectives.
“A global ERP solution like IFS Applications is a prerequisite for meeting the volume ambitions of Jotun over the next five years,” Morten Fon continued.
Ben Guren, CFO at Jotun, expects to get benefits from utilizing IFS Applications throughout the whole group, “The global benefits are improved standardization, transparency, and precision. We will get enhanced control of the business processes through fully-integrated supply chains, improved automation, better and timely information for better business decisions, and improved accessibility of business systems.”.
“IFS has global operations with 54 offices around the world. With this agreement, we continue to strengthen our position as a global partner to large corporations like Jotun,” said Glenn Arnesen, Managing Director of IFS Scandinavia.
