IFS Applications now available on UK Government’s Digital Marketplace
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that IFS Applications is available in the Government’s Digital Marketplace – the new home for the UK Government’s G-Cloud services. This builds on IFS’s commitment to the public sector having previously been selected for the both the initial G-Cloud Framework in 2012 as well as the more recent G-Cloud 5 Framework.
IFS Applications offers Central and Local Government organisationsan agile ERP suite or individual business solutions that can improve the efficiency and quality of managing key business processes.
IFS has increased the number of its products and services available on the catalogue hosted on the Government’s Digital Marketplace, which will provide a vehicle for the purchase of cloud-based IT services by customers across the Government. IFS has a total of 11 different business solutions available on the portal, as well as specialist computing services to support implementations. A number of solutions have been designed for:
- Finance/ Purchasing
- Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
- Expense Management
- Document Management
- Time Recording
- Order fulfilment and stock control
- Service and Facilities Management
The IFS component-based approach means that Government bodies only need to purchase functionality that is required, which minimizes cost and complexity. This in turn minimises early risk in many projects. IFS’s open and agile architecture greatly reduces total cost of ownership and can co-exist with legacy systems.
“The public sector is in a period of constant change, requiring a more agile and low risk approach to IT projects,” said Paul Massey, Managing Director of Western Europe at IFS. “With a rich experience in aerospace and defence, we’re already working with departments such as the Ministry of Defence. Supplying additional products through the framework was a lateral extension of this work and we’re pleased to report strong initial interest from departments with asset intensive requirements.”
IFS is a globally recognized leader in developing and delivering business software that helps companies increase agility in three core areas: enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise asset management (EAM), and enterprise service management (ESM). Using deep industry-focused expertise, IFS empowers customers in targeted sectors to become as agile as their thinking. IFS is a public company (XSTO: IFS) that was founded in 1983, and currently has over 2,600 employees. IFS supports more than 2,200 customers worldwide from local offices and through partners in more than 60 countries.
