IFS Retail introduces innovative assortment planning solution to the European market
IFS Retail has entered into a partnership agreement with daVinci, a US supplier of assortment planning solutions. The agreement makes IFS Retail the exclusive distributor of the solution in the European market. The solution will become part of IFS Retail’s fully integrated solution for retail businesses.
daVinci specializes in the development of software for assortment planning. The solution contributes to increased sales and profitability by planning and presenting optimal assortments to customers. The company’s management has more than 20 years experience of the retail industry, which gives them a profound understanding of the challenges confronting the sector.
Because planning and purchasing assortments are among the most critical areas for retailers and wholesalers, good IT support is essential. A correct assortment mix, from the highest level down to detailed planning of product attributes at article level, is critical for ensuring and improving profitability. Among other things, daVinci’s solution enables companies to visualize the layout and content of a store, organize planning by department or product, and follow up estimated margins, prices and costs for different scenarios.
“We have been searching for some time for a solution that can meet the unique requirements of assortment planning, and daVinci fulfills our tough demands. The company is completely focused on assortment planning and has solid references from its impressive customer base. We believe this is the best solution for our customers,” said Denis Van Nunen, managing director, IFS Retail.
