Norwegian electronics manufacturer Kitron has implemented IFS Applications throughout the entire group. The solution, which has been implemented in Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Germany, China and the U.S., features the IFS Enterprise Explorer interface, designed for intuitive and efficient navigation to support the modern ERP user.
Kitron ASA is one of Scandinavia’s leading Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies – providing expertise within development and design, industrialisation and manufacturing to service/repair and product upgrades. In 2009 Kitron decided to invest in IFS Applications in order to standardise and streamline its business processes across its multinational organisation. One of the most important requirements during the evaluation process was an intuitive and user-friendly interface, which they found in IFS Enterprise Explorer.
“When we were evaluating different ERP solutions, intuitiveness and usability were essential requirements. Now, when the dust has settled, we can conclude that IFS Enterprise Explorer has proven itself as a successful investment. The interface has been well received throughout the corporation since it makes it easy for users to locate, enter and communicate the correct data,” said Olaf Kristen Kristensen, Solutions Competence Centre Manager, Kitron.
“We have extensive experience from the EMS space and thus fully understand the demanding conditions within this industry. Intuitive solutions ensuring efficiency, productivity and a uniform way of doing business, regardless of geographic location, are essential to productivity and profitability. We are convinced that our focus on user experience and intuitive ERP will continue to help Kitron in all future ventures,” said Glenn Arnesen, CEO, IFS Scandinavia.
User experience is one of IFS’s most important strategic focus areas. IFS Enterprise Explorer, which has been highly acclaimed by the user community, is one example of IFS executing on its strategy. Other examples of user-centric solutions are IFS’s new BI solution, various social media-inspired communication tools and the IFS Touch Apps. IFS will soon also launch an enhanced user experience in the next core version.
