Availability, cost control and project execution are the cornerstones of profitability in the asset-intensive industry. IFS’ unique combination of integrated EAM, ERP and project management software has helped our customers increase profitability over the 30 years we have been involved in the industry.
Investment and maintenance strategies always need to be balanced against an asset’s capacity utilization, i.e. costs must be balanced against revenue or revenue potential
IFS OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is fully integrated with the maintenance software and specially adapted mainly for operators, but also for other interested parties. This creates the prerequisites for directing all decisions toward optimal asset effectiveness—at the right price.
The asset intensive industry is also project-intensive. Projects of various sizes are always in progress in the work of continuously improving processes. The combination of asset design and project management supports project management, execution and control in real time while fully supporting quality-assured management of asset information. This is a prerequisite for problem-free operations after new assets go live.
Optimizing the spare parts inventory in capital-intensive industries always entails a balance between warehousing costs and the costs and consequences of not having the parts required, e.g. complete stoppage. IFS Applications supports strategic planning for the entire supply chain process, consolidating agreements and procurement of parts and services.
Wherever you operate, the multisite, multi-language, multi-currency capabilities of IFS Applications ensure that your customers feel they are dealing with one company, with standard, unvarying quality of performance and delivery. And as you grow, IFS Applications lets you quickly integrate the new entities, reducing time to value and helping them contribute to ROI as fast as possible.
