Akzo Nobel Inks has chosen to continue its cooperation with IFS by upgrading to IFS Applications 2003.

Akzo Nobel Inks is a market-leading ink producer for printing in the Nordic Region, with a total of over 800 employees in 22 countries world-wide. Before the turn of the millennium Akzo Nobel Inks wanted to invest in a new business application. The existing solutions were old and not Y2K-proof, and a need was felt to use a common system throughout the corporation. The supplier chosen then was IFS, so when the need for a more modern solution was felt, the decision to upgrade to IFS Applications 2003 was natural. Jonatan Manna, responsible for the implementation project at Akzo Nobel Inks, explains: "During the years we have had a very good working relation with IFS. They know our company and have a good understanding of our type of business. This is very important for an installation of this kind."

Facile et ouvert

"IFS Applications 2003 a une fonctionnalité que nous trouvons très utile. Les outils pour le suivi et l'analyse qui existaient dans la version précédente ont été encore améliorés et s'adaptent très facilement. La pression sur l'administration a diminué car les statistiques sont facilement à la disposition de celui qui en a besoin. Un autre principal avantage avec IFS Applications 2003 est l'interface ouverte, qui permet de se connecter très facilement à d'autres systèmes." Jonatan est également positif au sujet des perfectionnements effectués dans différentes parties de la solution. "Nous avions senti que la solution obsolète avait une très bonne solution de distribution et d'inventaire, mais nous avions toujours besoin d'ajouter de nouvelles personnalisations. De tout ce que nous avons ajouté dans IFS distribution, plus de 90% sont maintenant des standards dans IFS Applications 2003."

Coordination

Akzo Nobel Inks voit les principaux avantages dans l'utilisation d'un même système dans toutes les sociétés, indépendamment de leur localisation. La coordiantion des systèmes financiers et le reporting font gagner du temps et permet un suivi plus efficace.
