TRI (Poland) implements the latest version of IFS Applications to optimize business processes

TRI (Poland), an automotive manufacturing company, has implemented the newest version of IFS Applications in order to optimize and standardize their enterprise business processes.

TRI (Poland) Sp. z o.o., part of the global Tokai Rubber Industries (TRI) group, specializes in manufacturing anti-vibration parts for the automotive industry. The company has been using IFS’s enterprise management support system ever since entering the Polish market in 1999.

After 10 years, TRI (Poland) decided to upgrade the solution to the newest version to utilize the latest functionality of the system and to standardize and optimize its business processes. The company also decided to implement a solution for supporting the management of a new high-storage warehouse and a system for supporting maintenance activities across the company.

The implementation of the new version of IFS Applications enables real-time access to operational and management information, which shortens the decision-making cycle and increases the company’s management efficiency.

IFS Applications covers areas such as financials, distribution (including barcode support), material requirements planning and maintenance. Another stage of the upgrade project—implementation of production planning functionality—is nearing completion. The next stage is planned to include the traceability functionality, i.e. product identification and monitoring throughout the supply chain.

“When the production planning functionality has been implemented, the whole process flow will be visible in IFS Applications, which will simplify operations and ensure stability and better data protection. We believe that we can take production planning to the next level and consequently achieve material savings and inventory reductions. Traceability will in turn enable us to meet the requirements of our customers with regards to the manufacturing process monitoring,” says Lesław Witek, Financial Director, TRI (Poland) Sp. z o.o.

”We are very excited to see the functionality and agility of our solution help TRI (Poland) to further optimize its business processes and increase its business efficiency,” says Marcin Taranek, President of IFS CEE.
