Quality Management
Quality is the difference between winning and losing.
When it comes to quality management, proactive decision-making and failure prevention are the key. And that requires plenty of data-to define where a process should be, to determine where it currently is or where it is heading, and to track how well corrective actions have taken hold. With IFS/Quality Management, you get a powerful quality management tool that lets you organize and analyze your data in a systematic and comprehensive manner, from failure modes and effects analyses (FMEAs) and control plans to statistical process control (SPC) charts and capability studies. And since IFS/Quality Management is fully integrated with IFS Applications, it supports the entire production process, enabling you to control parts in manufacturing, distribution, and inventory locations. - Reduce the cost of poor quality
- Keep track of your data
- Get in line with industry expectations
- Make use of FMEA, Control plans, Statistical process control charts, and Capability indices
Business Modeling
Anticipating your customers changing requirements is the best way to maintain their loyalty. But it can only be successfully achieved when you have a business modeling solution that gives you a precise insight into what you’ll need to re-engineer your business to meet the change.

Aker Brattvaag
Aker Brattvaag AS, Norway, part of Aker Kvaerner Yards—the world’s fourth largest shipbuilding group —comprises yards in Brazil and Romania as well as Norwegian yards, Brattvaag Skipsverft AS and Søviknes Verft AS shipyards, founded 50 and 64 years ago, respectively. The two Norwegian shipyards, with 160 and 170 employees, respectively, build specialized vessels, to a major extent for the offshore industry. Instead of going down the road of serial construction of vessels, with its potential for savings through high-volume procurement of components, Aker Brattvaag has chosen another path—a focus on maximum flexibility to enable a rapid response to openings in the market.
