IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Swedish network operator Teracom has implemented the Beta 2 version of the next generation of IFS’s extended ERP suite, IFS Applications™ 8, which includes the new user interface IFS Enterprise Explorer. Teracom has been an active participant in the IFS Early Adopter program to get early access to the new and enhanced features of IFS Applications 8.
Teracom owns the Swedish TV and radio broadcasting infrastructure. From its transmission hub in Stockholm, the Kaknäs tower, Teracom covers up to 99.8 percent of all Swedish households. Teracom has been an IFS customer since 2001, when the company selected IFS Applications to support its business-critical processes.
By upgrading to IFS Applications 8, Teracom is able to enhance user experience and promote efficient and correct data entry via the IFS Enterprise Explorer (IEE) interface. Delivered as the standard interface, IEE is based on the latest usability research and offers extensive customization options to suit each individual role and competency within a company.

Among the new and enhanced features are the Contracting component, a web-based tool for communicating requests for tenders to preferred and evaluated subcontractors, Component MRO, a comprehensive tool for aftermarket service and repair and Heavy Maintenance, a best-practice solution for optimized performance-based maintenance.
