Chief Executive Officer (effective 1st April 2018)
Darren Roos is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IFS. His appointment in April 2018 sees Darren lead the talented team at IFS to further scale the company’s global business and extend IFS’s leadership position in Field Service Management, Enterprise Asset Management and Enterprise Resource Planning markets.
Prior to joining IFS, Darren was the President of SAP's global ERP Cloud business, where he had end-to-end responsibility for all product and go-to-market functions, and an organization of over 5,000 staff. During his time at SAP, Darren also held other leadership roles including General Manager of Northern Europe and Chief Operating Officer of EMEA. Before joining SAP, Darren was a senior executive at Software AG, where he was President of EMEA, APJ, LATAM and a member of Software AG’s Group Executive Board.
Outside of IFS, Darren maintains a Non-Executive Director position at Micro Focus International.
As a technology leader who has spent nearly 20 years building global software businesses, Darren’s proven track record and ability to deliver results has earned him a reputation as a customer advocate, industry thought leader and Cloud expert. Having grown up in South Africa Darren is passionate about the positive impact diversity can have on a business. Darren lists ‘high employee engagement’ and ‘authentic passionate leadership’ as the secrets to his success.
Darren lives in the UK, where he enjoys spending time outside of work with his two boys.
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Paul Smith is responsible for IFS’s administrative functions, including finance, IT, legal and human resources.
Since joining IFS as CFO in 2009, Paul has worked actively to align and optimize IFS’s back office functions to support the company’s business goals. By understanding the challenges and opportunities facing the company, Paul has been instrumental in forming the company’s strategic direction, both in terms of organic growth and M&A activities.
Having completed his finance studies and training in London, Paul has 20 years of experience in networking, internet and mobile communications companies, working both in Europe and the United States, in CFO, operational, and CEO roles.
When not working, Paul enjoys a spot of five-a-side football and golf, family commitment allowing.
FREDRIK VOM HOFE
Group Senior Vice President, Business Development
Fredrik vom Hofe is Group Senior Vice President, Business Development and member of the Group Executive Committee, at IFS.
Fredrik joined IFS in 2003 as Senior Vice President, Group Marketing, Industry Sales & Partner Management. He has held his current position since 2006.
In his role, Fredrik is responsible for the Business Development Unit and for driving group-wide strategic growth and restructuring initiatives, including M&A, divestments, establishing joint ventures, and new partnerships. Fredrik is co-opted at the board of directors of IFS AB.
Prior to joining IFS, Fredrik worked as Senior Manager at Cap Gemini Ernest & Young, and in senior executive roles within sales, general management, consulting and marketing at Ericsson and Asea Brown Boveri in Sweden, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
In his spare time, Fredrik likes mountain climbing, trekking and skiing with his family.
As IFS’s general counsel, Jesper Alwall oversees all legal matters related to corporate governance and compliance, intellectual property rights, sales and marketing, partner contracts, mergers and acquisitions, etc. Jesper joined IFS in 2009 and has since played a pivotal role in harmonizing and facilitating the company’s global commercial operations and legal practices.
Jesper concluded his multi-year law firm career as attorney-at-law in 2005 before joining Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), where he held senior positions as legal counsel and VP Purchasing Development. Jesper holds a law degree from Uppsala University with a post-graduate degree from the Amsterdam School of International Relations at Amsterdam University.
Jesper lives in Stockholm with his wife, three children and two stepchildren. When not working, Jesper maintains an amateur singing career, family commitment allowing.
