Bede plc, a global company headquartered in Durham, UK has selected a standard IFS solution to manage the sale and production of its highly configured products.  Bede is a world leader in the design and manufacture of X-ray metrology instruments and associated software.  The instruments are used in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and life sciences markets.

Cambridge Antibody Technology (CAT)

Cambridge Antibody Technology (CAT) is a UK biopharmaceutical company focussed on the discovery and development of human monoclonal antibody drugs.  One of the most successful CAT-derived products is HUMIRA®, an antibody being marketed by Abbott as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.  Further products are in clinical and pre-clinical development.  Based near Cambridge, UK, the Company currently employs around 290 staff.

CryoService selects IFS Applications

CryoService (Worcester, England) supplies commercial gas storage systems and also bulk liquid gases such as nitrogen, argon, oxygen, carbon dioxide, special gases and gas mixtures, delivered throughout Britain to a wide range of markets in the science, leisure and industrial sectors.  CryoService's diverse customer base numbers over 10,000 sites and includes fast food chains, leisure centres, public houses, hospitals, hotels and universities.

CryoService will use IFS for service management of the installed equipment,  and logistics scheduling as well as Distribution, Finance and HR.  Integration is planned to vehicle mounted mobile data terminals (MDT's) installed in their 80 vehicle liquid gas delivery fleet.

Hertel is the UK's premier Integrated Service Provider operating across a number of industries including: power generation, chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, nuclear and defence, Marine/Ship building.

The company specialises in industrial maintenance and support services and delivers a wide range of services ranging from grit blasting and conservation to thermographic examination, from insulation and industrial cleaning to the complete outsourced maintenance service.

Hosokawa Micron Ltd (Runcorn, UK) is the UK division of the world's leading provider of powder and particle processing equipment and systems, the Hosokawa Micron Group. 

They have selected IFS to supply a full ERP solution for Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Financials, Resource Management and After Sales.

IFS plays a part in major European infrastructure project connecting the UK to continental Europe

Interconnector (UK) Ltd (London, United Kingdom) is responsible for the safe, clean and efficient operation of the Interconnector pipeline which links the UK with continental Europe. The 235 km pipeline connects the terminals at Bacton (on the Norfolk coast in England) and Zeebrugge (Belgium).

The company was formed in 1994 after a consortium of nine energy companies either side of the English Channel made long-term commitments to the project and became shareholders.  The first gas flowed through the Interconnector in 1998.

An enhancement project is currently in progress to increase the import capacity of the system. Interconnector will play an increasing role in ensuring security supply for UK energy.

KeyMed Ltd (Southend, UK) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Olympus Corporation, Japan and an important part of the global Olympus network, with specific responsibility for the development and manufacture of medical equipment and industrial products for distribution world-wide.

KeyMed specialises in the manufacture and supply of the Olympus range of flexible, rigid and video endoscopy systems - used medically, by consultants and surgeons to perform intricate procedures with minimal invasion and within the aerospace, automotive and general industries, for internal inspection of engines, plant and equipment.

KeyMed has chosen IFS to supply a complete solution, as IFS Applications 2003 provided the best fit to the company's requirements and IFS (UK) demonstrated the best understanding of its requirements, objectives and the company's ethos.

Distributing vehicles and spare parts globally

Land Rover, part of Ford's prestige portfolio of brands, the Premier Automotive Group, is the only manufacturer of permanent four-wheel drive off-roaders.  The original Land Rover was launched in 1948.  Today the product range now encompasses the Defender, Discovery, Freelander and Range Rover.  The company employs 11,000 staff in the UK alone.

Lander and IFS work together to create a powerful automotive solution

Lander Automotive Ltd (Birmingham, UK) is a supplier of components to the automotive industry throughout the world.  Lander employs 800 staff and their client base includes Ford, Land Rover, BMW, Jaguar, Lear and Autoliv. 

IFS UK, working with Lander, developed an automotive functionality within IFS Applications to deal with self billing, printed delivery documents before delivery and EDI.  The initial phase of the implementation of IFS Applications has taken place and will be followed by a further phase to include Purchasing, MRP and Manufacturing.

Magnet Ltd manufactures and supplies kitchens, bedrooms, home office furniture, bathrooms and joinery items. Magnet's primary distribution channel is through its own network of over 200 branches supplying both trade and retail customers throughout the UK mainland, Channel Islands, and Ireland.

They have chosen and implemented Manufacturing and Distribution solutions for their two large manufacturing sites and for Group Financials and Purchasing.

Today, VWS Westgarth is the largest single supplier/operator of sulphate reduction membrane systems, and is part of the world's largest water treatment company, Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies.

The strength of VWS Westgarth's product range lies in the superiority of design, materials and components.
