Create production schedules with ease
As any other solutions within IFS Applications, IFS/Repetitive Production is fully integrated. That means you can piggyback on the functionality of other modules—such as IFS/Planning, which allows you to generate production schedules manually or automatically and calculate material net requirements, optimal lot sizes, and needed capacity. Based on that information, IFS/Repetitive Production then creates rate-based production schedules, including report points and orderless receipts. For any product, you can also split production along multiple production lines. In addition, IFS/Repetitive Production offers advanced backflushing functionality with superflush—a functionality in which the system automatically calculates stock depletion based on the number of completed or partially completed products. Alternative component substitution and lot/batch and serial tracking are also possible. With all that functionality, IFS/Repetitive Production makes your job a lot easier. All it takes are a few mouse clicks to record your production run, and material issues and operations will be reported at once.
Optimise your use of Kanbans
IFS/Repetitive Production lets you handle all aspects of Kanban. You can create and dimension Kanban circuits with internal as well as external replenishment sources, calculate the number of Kanbans, and simulate different scenarios to put different strategies to the test. Once that is done, you can easily execute the strategy of your choice. An added benefit: IFS/Repetitive Production supports both manual and fully electronic Kanbans. Also available is a card management functionality, which greatly simplifies change management, counting, and tracking for manual card circuits. All in all, such versatilty builds continuous improvement right into your processes and translates into smoother and, in the long term, more cost-effective operations.
