As the product moves into production, IFS/Project Delivery lets you call up part information and purchasing history by virtue of its integration with IFS Distribution—data that is captured during engineering and prototyping and that is fully integrated with IFS Manufacturing and shop orders as well. And pertinent information regarding product structures, documents, or serial numbers can be transferred to IFS Maintenance. This lets you take full advantage of a product’s “as-built” structure to get a flying start in the after-sales process.

Another key feature is the full integration of plan- and project-specific product structures within the Project-based Delivery solution, which provides a bird’s-eye view of the entire project. This comprehensive view, combined with the availability of detailed technical data, makes this solution an excellent tool helping you to meet customer and company requirements. How so? Each phase of a product’s life cycle—from design to manufacturing and project maintenance—is visible. Moreover, all project-specific material transactions can be tracked, and their costs can be rolled into the project costs along with other reported costs. Order status and progress data are also available for all activities and can be rolled up at any sub-project or project level. A product’s planned material cost, for example, can be viewed in a project summary cost roll-up.
