Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the Human Resources and Payroll functions within IFS in the maintenance of employee data, company policies, benefit administration, and payroll. Essential Functions: - Maintain all employee files to ensure that documents are appropriately filed and secure.
- Input employee data in ADP HRB and IFS Hattrick databases.
- Process HR employee forms such as Hire, Status Change, Performance Reviews, Terminations, etc.
- Act as back-up to Payroll function.
- Reconcile monthly benefit billing.
- Coordinates with Payroll for pay period deadlines, and ensures paperwork is coded and calculated correctly, has appropriate signatures and is turned in on time.
- Assists in coordinating with various offices to plan company functions to include: anniversary and birthday celebrations, company holiday party.
- May prepare reports on a regular or as-needed basis.
- Completes special projects as assigned by Human Resources Director or Controller.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specialized Know-How and Requirements:
- HS diploma required; BSBA and/or PHR preferred.
- Requires confidentiality of employees’ personal affairs.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in one or more areas of Human Resources.
- PC proficiency in Windows environment, including the ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. HRIS or database experience required and OrgPlus/Visio experience helpful.
- Prior Payroll/Accounting experience (ADP preferred).
- Detail-oriented and quality-oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills in order to balance a variety of responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
