IFS Business Modeler (with Microsoft® FrontPage® Editor)
This course is designed to give participants the foundation for creating and documenting business processes using IFS Business Modeler. Participants will learn to create and edit process flows, generate HTML documentation, and edit and regenerate existing process diagrams. Participants will also find out how to create a repository, import and export models, use objects to create activity diagrams, link and embed documents, and link diagrams to specific transactions within IFS Applications.

Who Should Attend? This course is intended for business analysts, core team members, and project management. Prerequisites None Version Latest released version unless otherwise noted Length 3 days Course Description This course provides a broad understanding of how to create a repository and use objects to create an appropriate model for a specific business process within the participant's work environment. Hands-on exercises, both introductory and advanced, will be completed. Topics include: - Creating and maintaininga repository with all the appropriate models for a business enterprise.
- Exporting a set of files from a repository and importing the files into a second repository.
- Creating a set of users with the appropriate access to a repository.
- Designing and documenting a business process and the appropriate flows for a process that exists in the participant's organization.
- Creating the appropriate model(s) or diagrams to define the process.
- Linking the appropriate documents used in the business process.
- Generating the HTML files and storing them in a directory for the defined set of users.
- Using Microsoft® FrontPage® to edit the text generated in the diagram and to generate additional documentation within a set of HTML files.
