IFS/Business Process Modeling and Execution
The topics covered in this course will aid you in leveraging the IFS architecture to successfully execute your business strategy. This course will guide you through the tools of IFS Business Modeler, Windows Client Configuration Layout, Profile Management and definition of effective Event messages.

Who Should Attend? This course is designed for key IFS Application owners, Business Process Managers, and System Administrators. Prerequisites It is assumed that participants have a working knowledge of IFS navigation and practical knowledge of their companies processes. A copy of the company’s business processes from a tool like Visio is recommended, but not required. Length 4 days Course Description This class will educate attendees on the IFS Business Modeler so that they will be able to edit the IFS models to match them with current company practices. The attendee will then learn how they might leverage other IFS tools and technologies to more effectively execute the business processes in day to day activity. Topics covered will enable the participant to: - Create and maintain a repository with all the appropriate models for a business enterprise.
- Export a set of files from a repository and import the files into a second repository.
- Create a set of users with the appropriate access to a repository.
- Design and document a business process and the appropriate flows for a process that exists in the participant's organization.
- Create the appropriate model(s) or diagrams to define the process.
- Link the appropriate documents used in the business process.
- Generate HTML files and store them in a directory for the defined set of users.
- Modify IFS forms by removing unused fields, make current optional fields mandatory, and adjust tab orders to simplify daily usage of IFS Applications.
- Create custom right mouse functions in existing forms to launch different IFS forms and populate it with specified data, or launch an external application and send data from the IFS form to the external application.
- Create user profiles with tools such as predefined queries, custom right mouse functions, and form layout and assign them to users to support business model.
- Define event actions using IFS Event Registry to further enhance the execution of your business strategy.
