IFS Data Archiving
IFS Data Archiving is a tool that assists you in moving/copying/removing historic data from IFS Application. This class will help you understand the IFS Data Archiving concepts and “how-to’s”, including several real examples in Distribution, Human Resources and Finance. Each attendee will receive a copy of the example SQL files.

Who Should Attend? This course is strongly recommended for IT personnel responsible for managing the IFS database, and application users that want to move historic data off of heavily utilized tables. Prerequisites People with good functional knowledge in their area should attend. Version Latest released version unless otherwise noted Length 2 days Course Description After this course, the participants will be able to create Archive Objects, Schedule Archiving Order, determine how to define the archiving criteria, define parent/child tables for archiving, and access the archived data once moved. Topics include: - Determining what to archive
- Finding tables and dependent tables to archive
- Exporting Storage and Setting files
- Scheduling the Archive Object
- Viewing archived data
- Restoring archived data
