According to this primary research study and special report, larger organizations are more willing to let workers use mobile devices for job-related tasks. Only a minority of respondents said they could access EAM/CMMS software on a mobile device. There also was a focus on worker productivity features, instead of condition monitoring tools that deliver proactive insights and more effective asset management. So while the technology to keep the technician wirelessly connected to the central asset management system is widely available, mobile EAM/CMMS is still in its infancy in terms of breadth and depth of adoption.
