PREVAC sp. z o.o. streamlines production and project management by implementing IFS Applications
PREVAC sp. z o.o., an advanced research equipment manufacturer, has implemented IFS Applications in order to optimize the management of complex manufacturing processes and projects made to order.
PREVAC sp. z o.o. specializes in manufacturing research equipment used for analysis of high (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications. The company utilizes a mixed project and production model that encompasses projects made to order, manufacturing to order, assembly to order, and short batch manufacturing to stock.
In 2009, the company decided to change its integrated management support ERP solution. After analyzing a number of ERP providers, the IFS solution was chosen. The selection procedure favored such factors as high level of alignment of the standard version of IFS Applications to the company’s expectations and flexibility, ensuring that the system can be adapted to changing business conditions using standard functionalities. IFS Applications was implemented in such areas as manufacturing, project management, documentation management, maintenance, customer relationship management, sales and service, finance, human resources and payroll.
“The system plays a major role in production and project management. Before the implementation of IFS Applications, our company encountered difficulties with proper management in these areas. Advanced production and project planning has become a reality, and with the data collected in these processes, we can use our resources and potential more efficiently,” said Mariusz Czarnecki, IT Director, PREVAC sp. z o.o.
“Companies operating in the mixed manufacturing environment often find it difficult to choose a single software solution that is able to meet their various needs. We are pleased to see IFS Applications ensuring PREVAC sp. z o.o. full support for complex production and projects management,” said Marcin Taranek, President, IFS CEE.
