IFS selected one of Sweden’s best places to work

Founded in 1983, IFS has established itself over the past 27 years as the leading software companies in Sweden, producing and delivering the ERP software, IFS Applications, to enterprises around the globe. IFS has almost 3,000 employees worldwide, 560 of whom are located in Sweden.
IFS has experienced strong economic growth in recent years and has a strong knowledge environment, with IFS targeting Sweden’s leading IT competence—freshly graduated as well as experienced seniors—as potential employees. Apart from having the right competence, it is important that new employees understand and respect the core values on which the corporate culture is founded.

An example of this is the transition to more a more agile development methodology whereby employees in Sweden work with colleagues in other parts of the world in independent development teams that identify, develop, test, and deliver new products much faster than before.

In general, we see a strong correlation between a good corporate culture and good earnings—which has been demonstrated in a number of studies*. We have enjoyed considerable financial success in recent years, which would not have been possible without the strong commitment of our very competent staff. More specifically, a sick-leave absence of 2 – 3 percent and a staff turnover of less than 4 percent gives predictability and the ability to further develop the product, our own organization and not least, our customers at the pace required by the market,” said Petersson.
Participating in focus groups, a large number of IFS employees have given their opinion of IFS as an employer. Based on the focus groups, the IFS Employer Value Proposition was defined:
