Sanitec goes live with IFS Applications in the Nordic region
Sanitec, one of Europe’s leading manufacurers of bathroom ceramics and bath and shower products, has now gone live on IFS Applications in its Nordic subsidiaries. The solution will streamline the company’s operations, with increased focus on add-on sales and customer benefit that will support the company’s purchasing, sales and manufacturing processes.
Sanitec is one of the biggest players in the global bathroom products markets, with 27 production units throughout Europe, and has been an IFS customer since 1998 via Ifö, a subsidiary. The company has now upgraded and expanded its solution from IFS with components for financials, sales, logisitics, and maintenance in all its Nordic subsidiaries, and replaced its manufacturing software with the manufacturing solution from IFS. Recently, Sanitec went live with IFS Applications at its subsidiaries Ifö (Sweden), IDO (Finland) and Porsgrund (Norway) after a successful implementation project.
“We are very satisfied with the IFS Applications go live, one of Sanitec’s most successful implementation projects ever,” Frida Norrbom, Managing Director of Ifö/IDO, said. “We managed to go live with an advanced solution in three different countries within the given time frame with a parallel, common start at all six sites.”
All the Nordic companies in the Sanitec Group now use the same solution from IFS. This enables standardization and greater efficiency between the subsidiaries, which Sanitec considers a prerequisite for successful future growth.
By coordinating internal processes and systems, Sanitec has consolidated its organization, which means, among other things, that the same back office resources are used in all three subsidiaries. This provides customers with better service and faster support. Through more efficient processes and by freeing resources, the company can to an event greater extent focus on improving new and existing customer relationships.
”We have long experience of working across national boundaries and with global customers. This has been a crucial success factor in the project,”Glenn Arnesen, Managing Director of IFS Scandinavia, said. ”Sanitec has been a customer for many years, and it means a lot to us to have implemented an international project like this so successfully.”
Manufacturing is one of IFS’ targeted markets. IFS has a broad customer base in the industry, focusing on medium to large-sized manufacturers that need support for complex order-driven and mixed-mode manufacturing across the extended enterprise. With strong support for project management, engineering, advanced scheduling, product configuration, and after-sales support, IFS’ component-based business solutions are designed to help companies improve quality, contain costs, and improve their competitive position in manufacturing industry segments such as machinery, defense, fabricated metal products, and plastics. Industrial manufacturing companies also benefit from IFS’ lifecycle management solution, which goes beyond product lifecycle management (PLM) to provide better integration and management of three critical business areas—products, customers, and resources—throughout their lifecycles.
IFS manufacturing customers include GEA Pharma Systems, Star Cutter, J&H Machine Tools, Kongskilde, Nolato Group, Bombardier, PartnerTech, Mechanik Center Erlangen GmbH, Völkl and Johnson Pump.
