Cumfin SAS to improve productivity and standardize processes with IFS Applications
Company-wide deployment of IFS solution will help Cumfin SAS achieve its growth objectives
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Cumfin SAS, a Group of engineering product distributers in France, has selected IFS Applications™ to support the group’s development. The IFS solution’s rich functionality combined with the skilled IFS team were key factors in Cumfin SAS’s selection process.
Based in Chassieu, near Lyon, Cumfin SAS encompasses several companies specializing in the distribution of heat engines, generators, gearboxes and equipment for a number of sectors including industry, roads, renewable energy, transportation, hoisting, materials handling, yachting, agriculture and forestry. The company offers value added services such as installation, service and maintenance, sale of spare parts, and rental. The group’s portfolio companies are spread across seven sites in France and carry out a significant amount of export.
Cumfin SAS wanted to replace its existing ERP system with a new system better adapted to its developing needs and which could also streamline the implementation of its growth strategy.Following a tender process, IFS was selected because of the rich functionality and modular structure of its ERP suite, IFS Applications. The IFS solution will be deployed across the various sites in France.
The functional scope of the solution includes operational activities such as sales, design, manufacturing, installation, distribution, maintenance, and business/project management as well as and support activities such as purchasing, HR, accounting and finance, financial control, and maintenance.
The implementation of IFS Applications at Cumfin SAS is planned to be complete by the second quarter of 2016. The solution will be rolled out to some 200 users.
