Static Systems Group to streamline business processes with IFS Applications
Leading provider of alarm and communication systems for the healthcare, custodial and commercial sectors selects IFS for its business wide ERP solution.
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Static Systems Group (SSG) has chosen it to supply and implement its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, IFS Applications. SSG is a specialist in the design, manufacture, installation, project management and maintenance of communication and fire detection systems for healthcare, custodial, commercial and public buildings. IFS Applications will replace a legacy ERP system that no longer meets SSG’s evolving needs for data visibility, collaboration, and efficiency and business agility.
As a market leader, SSG knows that business agility is crucial to its continued success and the maintenance of its current position. IFS Applications will provide enhanced visibility across all of SSG’s business processes and improve the accessibility and accuracy of customer and project data. This will help improve operational efficiency and customer service levels. The new ERP solution will encompass the engineering and operational aspects of the business, and include project, finance, manufacturing, maintenance, inventory and purchasing modules.
Giving the SSG field engineers access to vital information as needed – something that wasn’t possible with the previous ERP system – will allow for a greater level of collaboration on projects. For example, when field engineers are working at client’s sites they will be able to access, receive information from, and input information into the core ERP solution. This means that they could report on their progress and receive instructions without having to come into the office. This will have obvious business benefits, including greater productivity and reduced travel costs.
SSG selected IFS for a number of reasons, including its strong track record of working with similar organizations, and its proven ability to deploy its ERP application seamlessly and on time. Most importantly, IFS demonstrated that its ERP application was flexible enough to suit SSG’s unique business needs.
