Centric and IFS join forces to deliver agile enterprise software to European retailers

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Centric, the Dutch IT total solution provider. The two companies are working together to develop service orientated architecture (SOA) based solutions to improve efficiency and flexibility within the retail industry.

Centric has a strong customer base across the central European market within warehousing, point-of-sale systems and logistics. Centric is well regarded in the retail sector and known for its best-of-breed solutions with customers such as Blokker, Hema, Kingfisher and Ahold. This expertise, combined with the agility provided by IFS’ extended supply chain solution, creates the retail industry’s most powerful and flexible extended ERP solution.

IFS and Centric will package their solutions and jointly offer these to the fashion, DIY and domestic market, packaged with a common support and implementation strategy. A combination of the complete business application system from IFS and best-of-breed solution solutions from Centric in one package enables retailers to minimize the integration risks and keep costs down.

The two companies have established a Center of Excellence that focuses solely on the success of the partnership.
