Niscayah selects IFS Applications as its global enterprise applications solution
Niscayah, a global security integrator headquartered in Sweden, has chosen IFS Applications as its corporate enterprise applications worldwide. By replacing its legacy applications and standardizing on IFS Applications Niscayah can become more efficient and thereby reduce costs. The agreement is valued at SKr 40 million, under the terms of which licenses, services and maintenance can be called off over a period of five years.
Niscayah is a global company with 6,000 employees in 17 different countries. The company offers advanced technological security systems and security services for intrusion protection, fire protection, access control, and security centers among other things.
Niscayah has grown rapidly via the acquisition of several companies, which have had their own enterprise solutions and administration software. Therefore, management decided to acquire a global standard solution, partly to facilitate the introduction of common business processes and partly to create better conditions for faster integration of the companies that had been acquired.
“We are a global company so we need to work in a uniform manner—and have business applications that support all parts of our operations,” said Håkan Gustavsson, CFO at Niscayah.
The procurement process began in 2008. Niscayah went through a large number of potential suppliers and selected IFS after evaluating aspects such as industry experience, performance, and geographical presence. The solution contains components for financials, facilities management, service, distribution, customer relationship management (CRM) and human resource management.
On October 1, 2009, Niscayah in Finland became the first country in the group to work according to the new business processes supported by IFS Applications. During the coming three years, the business processes and IFS Applications will be rolled out to the remaining countries.
“We expect a quick return on our investment in IFS Applications. We can work more efficiently, and the cost of licenses and maintenance will be considerably lower compared with what we pay today,” said Håkan Gustavsson.
“Nowadays, a CEO has to be able to make fast business decisions and be in complete control of operations. The benefits of project-based work are substantial. IFS Applications provides the support required by global facilities and service providers like Niscayah,” said Glenn Arnesen, Managing Director of IFS Scandinavia.
In connection with the procurement, Niscayah has recruited Michael Lagendorf as global ERP director who will be responsible internally for IFS Applications in all countries. Michael comes to Niscayah from Electrolux IT, where he was Head of Business Support, CoE.
