The model offers multiple levers of time zone, language, skills and local business knowledge to deliver high quality solutions across the globe 24x7, with globally connected workforce, seamlessly integrated delivery processes and through multi-tiered infrastructure. This model has been adopted by all global competitors and is recognized as the benchmark of excellence in software development. TCS's delivery mechanism is through its Independent Operating Units (IOUs) that conceptualize, sell, deliver and support TCSnull offerings to create value for customers. TCS’s Industry Solution Units (ISU) serve customers with a focus on domain expertise in a specific industry vertical and operate globally by providing customers with a single view of TCS, i.e. from sales to relationship management and delivery, thereby enhancing customer centricity, driving operational agility, developing domain specific solutions and creating growth opportunities. TCS’s Horizontal Service Delivery Units provide their services to all industries and markets in collaboration with the ISUs. TCS has also seeded Strategic Growth Business Units with a focus on developing opportunities for non-linear growth.

TCS's marketing thrust is through geography specific units: Major Markets (MM) operates in UK, Europe and Americas; New Growth Markets (NGM) in APAC, India and Ibero America. These units focus on the acquisition of new customers. New Growth Markets (NGM), India, APAC and Emerging Markets (EM) are structured as individual operating units to address the unique business needs of these geographies. These units look after sales, relationships, delivery and operations for all customers in these geographies. Any regional operations of global customers within these units are directly under respective Industry Solution Units (ISU).

TCS has the world’s best trained IT consultants operating globally in all major countries and markets with a passion for customer delight, and eagerness for customer-driven excellence echoed in the brand promise ‘Experience Certainty’. The philosophy and practice for a constant endeavor to innovate and improve services and products, continuous learning and knowledge sharing is the integral backbone for TCS's consistent growth.

TCS’s Co-Innovation Network (COIN)™ is a rich and diverse network that drives innovation in an open community, which has Innovation labs connecting with research institutions, academic institutions and student communities, alliance partners, industry bodies, consultants, start-ups, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs in residence and the customer.
