NOVA WERKE selects IFS Applications to optimize business processes throughout the company
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Swiss-based NOVA WERKE will implement IFS Applications as its corporate ERP solution. As a high-tech component manufacturer supplying predominantly to the automotive industry, transport and energy generation industries, NOVA WERKE needed an ERP solution that would deliver clear operational and business benefits. Thanks to its strong feature set, IFS Applications has been implemented without customizations.
NOVA WERKE, based in the Zurich suburb of Effretikon, develops and manufactures products within four core areas: high-pressure technology, engine components, surface technology and valve services. The products are brought to market under the NOVA SWISS brand, and are mainly used on large diesel engines of locomotives, mining trucks, ships and power packs.
As NOVA WORKE expanded over the years in size and competence, its legacy software was no longer able to meet the company’s high quality standards and ambitions. As part of a competitive selection process, IFS’s solution stood out and was selected because many of NOVA WERKE’s requirements,in particular the automotive-related ones, were built in as standard. Moreover, IFS Applications was seen to be flexible enough to evolve in line with NOVA WERKE’s future requirements. On implementation, no customizations were necessary, apart from some interfaces that were integrated with third-party systems.
By rolling out IFS Applications at its Swiss and German sites, NOVA WERKE will achieve better transparency in its business processes and will benefit from improved integration of individual business areas. Therefore, the software will be fully used throughout the company. The key components being used by NOVA WERKE include project and supply chain management, production planning and control, maintenance, quality management, accounting and human resource management, sales ands upport, and CRM.
“IFS convinced us with its comprehensive functionality and flexibility,” said Marco Schade, Product Manager, Diesel Components at NOVA WERKE. “We are sure that with IFS we will be able to meet all our current and future requirements. That is why IFS won against other well-known competitors in a strict selection process.”
”IFS is proud of its strong customer base within the automotive sector, which has been achieved thanks to our industry expertise and a feature-rich product in IFS Applications. Our solution covers all business-critical process as standard, which differentiates us from the competition. We are very pleased to welcome NOVA WERKE as a customer,” said Peter Höhne, Vice President Sales & Marketing, IFS Europe Central. “We are sure they will be supported optimally by our fully integrated and transparent ERP system.”
