Tatsuno Engineering and Service selects IFS Applications to support business expansion

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Tatsuno Engineering & Service, a high-tech manufacturer of fuel dispensing pumps, will implement IFS Applications™ to strengthen its leading position, streamline business processes and prepare for expansion to other markets ahead of Asian Economic Community (AEC) integration.

  • Integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) to improve process efficiencies
  • Real-time visibility for timely decision making
  • Will enable expansion to other ASEAN countries

“We have chosen IFS Applications as it provides a comprehensive solution that will connect different departments and give management a single view that will support decision making and manage the business more efficiently,” said Tatsuno Engineering & Service President, Mr. Tatsuo Oteki. Currently there are three disparate systems operating in the business and by implementing IFS Applications, the company will integrate operations and introduce more efficient business management practices.  “Implementing IFS Applications will strengthen the performance of our production facility and nationwide after-sales service stations throughout Thailand,” said Mr. Oteki.

The first step is to have procurement and production processes streamlined, followed by linking customer service centers around the country. “Ultimately this will assist us in expanding operations to countries like Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, as well as minimizing costs and helping us become more efficient.  Implementing a unified ERP system is critical to our business growth and success,” said Mr. Oteki.

Tatsuno Engineering & Service will implement IFS Applications 8 to capture the powerful features for supply chain management, manufacturing, service management, and finance. “We anticipate that implementing IFS Applications will help us reduce costs, save time and make better decisions, affording us more time to plan for future growth in neighboring countries,” said Mr. Oteki.  The roll-out will be multi-phased to ensure business operations continue, with IFS staff working closely with the company to guide in-house teams. In addition to improving production scheduling and service processes, the system enables report generation and precise analyses based on information that was unavailable in the company’s previous system.

“IFS Applications will bring greater efficiencies in work processes to Tatsuno Engineering & Service, which will improve the speed and accuracy of vital business information and result in more effective management. We look forward to a successful long-term partnership with Tatsuno Engineering & Service as they grow their business across the region,” said Sridharan Arumugam, Vice President for South East Asia at IFS.
