Holland’s largest garden center chain goes live with cash register system from IFS Retail
Tuincentrum Overvecht, the largest chain of garden centers in Holland, has gone live with the cash register system StoreWorld from IFS Retail in all of its 19 locations. Having been an IFS customer since 2006, Tuincentrum Overvecht can now benefit from a modern cash register solution that is fully integrated with IFS Applications.
In preparation for the 2011 Christmas season, IFS Retail was tasked with installing 135 cash register solutions at the garden center chain’s 19 sites. Despite a very short deadline, IFS delivered the software to all stores within two weeks after the implementation at the pilot store on October 5, 2011.
“We are extremely satisfied with the way IFS has managed the project and with the quick and professional implementation. The solution offers technical stability, user-friendliness and enhanced efficiency throughout the company. In addition, we now have extended promotion, marketing and monitoring (i.e. authorization) capabilities. The solution also enables us to produce report based on real time data,” said Maikel van Dungen, CFO of Tuincentrum Overvecht.
IFS Retail is a joint venture between IFS and Centric. Together, the companies have developed the integration between IFS’s ERP solution and the StoreWorld cash register system.
StoreWorld is a modern and innovative cash register system that is continuously updated with new functionality. By integrating StoreWorld with IFS, Tuincentrum Overvecht can benefit from access to real time sales information and the ability to monitor its supply chain in real time. In addition, the company is now able to carry out ad-hoc promotional campaigns and to add new article information.
Tuincentrum Overvecht is the fifth IFS customer to implement StoreWorld integrated with IFS Applications.
