The Swedish Alcohol Retail Monopoly modernizes operations with IFS Applications 7.5
IFS will deliver a new IT infrastructure and implement an upgrade to the latest version of IFS Applications as part of the Swedish Alcohol Retail Monopoly’s (Systembolaget) modernization program. The agreement includes options for application management and has an estimated value of SKr 90 million over three years.
Systembolaget has been an IFS customer since 2001 and is one of IFS’ largest retail customers in Scandinavia. The enterprise software from IFS will handle logistics and retail processes in Systembolaget’s value chain for more than 400 stores throughout Sweden.
As part of the modernization program, IFS will provide new technology, an upgrade of IFS Applications, support for process enhancements related to efficiency projects, and the development of new solutions for Systembolaget.
Retail & Wholesale Distribution is one of IFS’ targeted market segments. IFS offers industry-specific solutions for companies throughout their whole value chain, from planning, procurement, distribution through to store operations. IFS Applications provides support for all critical business processes in the industry, including master data management, automatic replenishment, bonuses and discounts, strategic HR and forecasting. E-Business, Business Intelligence, point-of-sale integrations and hand-held devices are other functions that are supported in the solution.
IFS customers in the retail area include Stadium, Systembolaget, Vinmonopolet, Byggmax, Reporter, Marskramer and Intertoys. IFS customers in the wholesale area include Jenssen, Cloetta, SMC Pneumatics, Bristan, Hama, Brightpoint, Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc. and Katun Corporation.
