Jotron AS selects IFS Applications 9 to align global operations
Norwegian-based manufacturing company to standardize and streamline processes across five regions for over 200 users
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Norwegian manufacturing firm Jotron will implement IFS Applications™ 9 to consolidate key business processes. The solution was sold and will be implemented and supported by IFS’s partner Addovation, a member of the IFS Partner Network.
Jotron AS is Norway’s leading manufacturer of professional communication systems for land, sea and air safety, with offices in Norway, the US, the UK, Singapore and Lithuania, and manufacturing facilities located in Norway and Lithuania.
Following a thorough evaluation, the company decided to implement IFS Applications 9 to unify key processes within the company, creating a more effective and transparent supply chain and building a closer connection to the customers. This will be achieved by using the powerful High-tech Manufacturing, Finance and Supply Chain modules within IFS Applications.
Jotron AS will be using several of the new IFS Applications 9 features, including a preconfigured IFS Lobby for manufacturing, IFS Streams for receiving automated updates from the system and Embedded CRM to connect the CRM capabilities seamlessly to the ERP system, improving sales process effectiveness.
Merete Berdal, CEO of Jotron AS says: “We needed one unified system that could integrate all key business processes across the five regions for our organization, increasing supply chain transparency and efficiency and speeding up time-to-market. IFS Applications proved to fit our needs perfectly and allows us to develop our global business with strong control and continued growth.”
With implementation commencing in December 2015, IFS’s partner Addovation will replace Jotron’s previous systems with IFS Applications 9. The solution is planned to go live in October 2016 throughout the five regions.
Glenn Arnesen, CEO of IFS Scandinavia added, “This is a great win for IFS and our partner Addovation. It´s also a testament to our growing success in the manufacturing industry and proves how IFS Applications can support a truly global company in expanding their business with strong control over key business processes.”
IFS’s long-term goal is to strengthen its partner network to boost sales to small and mid-sized companies as well as large enterprises. IFS has entered several new partnerships with resellers the past year. Jotron AS is yet another customer that joins IFS through such a partner, which proves that IFS’s partner strategy is paying off for both customers and IFS.
