IFS 360 Scheduling partners with Intergraph®
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that IFS 360 Scheduling has signed a partnership agreement with Intergraph, the leading global provider of engineering and geospatial visualization software. The partnership will provide an innovative scheduling and optimization solution to boost workforce productivity and customer service within the utilities industry.
Intergraph, based in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S., provides software for visualization of complex data to businesses and governments in over 60 countries. The combined offering will enable utilities to more efficiently send the right personnel to the correct job on time, resulting in increased productivity, improved customer service and reduced costs.
According to Gartner, “mobile workforce technology can enable more efficient field service for workforce/asset management and customer service improvement. Many business cases expect one-year project payback and greater than 100 percent annualized return on investment.”1
Intergraph will incorporate IFS 360 Scheduling’s Dynamic Scheduling Engine (DSE) in its mobile workforce management solution. IFS 360 Scheduling’s Dynamic Scheduling Engine takes into account worker skills, service level agreements (SLAs), urgency, travel time, traffic delays, workers calling in sick, new work orders and many other conditions to produce the optimal schedule for any given time period. As events happen through the day, the engine immediately recalculates and optimizes the schedule in real-time. The DSE can be used for both short-term and long-term scheduling, and scheduling data can be analyzed over several weeks or months to inform forecasting and future planning.
“In an environment of rising energy needs and intense competition, the efficient management of mobile assets and resources is critical to the success of any utility,” said Hank Dipietro, Vice President Utilities & Communications, Intergraph . “With the advanced options from IFS 360 Scheduling, our customers will be even more empowered to optimize their operations and work more effectively.”
“Advanced scheduling technology helps organizations respond faster to emergencies, meet customer service levels, improve workforce productivity, reduce costs due to unnecessary travel and downtime and achieve a competitive advantage,” said Laurent Othacéhé, CEO, IFS 360 Scheduling. “Combining Intergraph utility solutions with advanced scheduling creates an optimal platform for managing assets and operations, and maximizing performance.”
