Stadium extends its IFS retail solution
Stadium, one of Scandinavia’s leading sport retailers, has ordered an expansion of its retail solution from IFS.
Stadium has been an IFS customer since 2000 and has used IFS Applications to optimize business-critical processes such as supply chain management and stock replenishment.
After having upgraded to the latest version of IFS Applications in 2011, Stadium has decided to extend its IFS retail solution with advanced features for assortment planning and stock replenishment. With the IFS Assortment Planning tool, Stadium will be able to plan and execute multi-level assortment strategies, making sure that the right ranges, sizes, colors and styles are shipped, in the correct mix, to the right store. The tool is a graphical planning system that is completely integrated with IFS Applications. IFS Assortment Planning will replace the current solution that has been used by Stadium for the past 10 years.
The agreement also includes delivery of an automatic stock replenishment solution. IFS has developed the solution in close cooperation with Stadium and it is now part of the standard IFS Retail solution. Based upon Stadium’s long experience with store replenishment, the solution incorporates the ability to react quickly to changing customer needs arising from external factors such as weather, local events, vacation periods, etc.

IFS’s retail solution covers the entire value chain, from merchandise planning, assortment planning, purchasing and procurement to distribution and store solutions. IFS Applications supports all business-critical processes such as basic data management, automatic goods replenishment, campaign management, human resources, and forecasting.
Stadium is Sweden’s largest sport retailer with around 110 stores in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Its vision is to inspire people to lead a fun, active and healthy life. The Stadium stores are owned by the Parent Company, Stadium AB, which is also the service office for the stores. Stadium AB also includes 10 other operations and stores.
